Cory's emotional state has greatly improved. He went from being afraid of human contact, having severe anxiety and explosive flight episodes, to a longing to be with humans with a willingness to please even in frightful situations. He now exhibits self regulation when taken through hightened arousal back down to calm.
Cory is incredibly smart. He learns every new game after only one try. Once he figures out what I am asking him, he does it with the slightest pressure. Super responsive. My favorite training tool with Cory has always been and continues to be, the Sierra Horse Halter.
Cory has struggled the most with haltering and hand/rope movement around his left side. We have worked on this intensely. He was also frightened with approach and sudden movements. Now he is only slightly aroused when I approach him. My goal for him is to maintain calm with approach, and any handling. He is making great strides, so am confident that he will succeed in this as well.
Once he calmly embraces being saddled, along with all of his basic ground work, I will post a new video of his progress.
